چکیده
positive axillary lymph node on positron emission tomography/computed tomography in a thymoma patient with a tattoo. A 42-year old woman presented with a mediastinal tumour and left axillary lymphadenopathy (Fig. 1), 24 years after tattooing (Fig. 2). Thymectomy and diagnostic biopsy of the left axillary lymph nodes were performed. Histopathology showed a type A, Masaoka stage I thymoma, and reactive lymphadenopathy caused by tattoo pigments (Fig. 2). 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-positron emission tomography/computed tomography revealed high FDG uptake in the tumour and in a left axillary lymph node, with a maximum standardized uptake value of 8.69 and 8.97, respectively. Figure 2: (A) On physical examination, the presence of a large decorative tattoo was noted on the patient's back and left forearm, which she had obtained 24 years before admission. (B) The axillary histopathology showed lymphoid tissue and abundant black pigmentation (haematoxylin and eosin staining ×40).

We report a case of Hodgkin lymphoma (classic type) referred for response assessment after two cycles of chemotherapy with ABVD regiment. The F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (F-18 FDG PET/CT) showed hypermetabolic cutaneous and subcutaneous lesions with a linear pattern in the left arm with significant F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron accumulation in associate with left axi...

We report a case of a 59-year-old man with testicular germ cell tumor who showed new hypermetabolic lesions at the left axillary lymph nodes on a post-treatment positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) scan. The hypermetabolic lesions were found to be caused by an influenza vaccination 10 days prior to the PET-CT scan and disappeared without additional treatment. To date, he is...
متن کاملActive herpes zoster infection with cutaneous manifestation and adenopathy on FDG PET/CT
We report a patient with history of Hodgkin lymphoma. Six months after treatment, 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-d-glucose positron emission tomography and/or computed tomography ([18F] FDG PET/CT) scan showed abnormal uptake in right axillary lymph nodes concerning for recurrence. In addition, PET/CT showed a new hypermetabolic skin lesion overlying the right scapula. Clinical evaluation was consistent...
متن کاملPercutaneous tattoo pigment simulating calcific deposits in axillary lymph nodes.
The isolated finding of calcific deposits within axillary lymph nodes on mammography suggests a broad range of differential diagnoses, from benign causes such as granulomatous reaction secondary to previous histoplasmosis infection to malignancies such as breast cancer and metastatic disease from extramammary primary malignancies. Therefore, the isolated finding of intranodal calcium may warran...

Background: This study assessed the optimal timing of computed tomography for detection of metastatic disease in locoregional lymph nodes in patients with rectal cancer who have undergone chemoradiotherapy. Materials and Methods: This observational retrospective study was performed in a single institution. All patients with locally advanced rectal cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy, followed...
